So thankful to be a Champion (in the kitchen)!!!

Sunday, November 13, 2016

At this time of year, many people are expressing gratitude and thanksgiving for things in their life. I'm especially thankful for the 5% challenges and especially my team, the Champions in the Kitchen.

I've participated in several challenges over the past couple of years with varying levels of commitment and success. I knew summer was going to be really challenging so I opted out, but missed it terribly. During this fall challenge, I've realized how much I truly look to the connections and friendships that I've made as a champion through these challenges. When I came back after sitting out, I was amazed at how many "welcome backs" I received.

You may be skeptical about the ability to bond with people over the computer who you may never meet, but you've never been part of our happy, champion team. TODAY, I'm thankful for all of my champion friends and to be a champion myself!

what a wonderful gratitude you have for our team. This is my first time as a Champion in the Kitchen but due to all the love and support I hope that I never have to leave for any other reason unless I am no longer a part of the world. All of you are so nice to me and I can feel for you as far as missing them would go for you. They are that support and connection you have made during these awesome challenges. I was a Determined Daisy for about 9 months and they are a really nice team too. I had to drop out of the Winter challenge as I could no longer walk and had to have double knee replacement surgery in 2014 I lost 50 lbs during that 9 months only to gain it all back right after surgery due to a very slow recovery being as heavy as I am.. I feel mostly recovered now just chronic knee pain that I thought would go away. This pain is tolerable so I will take that and the fact that I can walk now as just before the surgery I could only make it to the restroom..

I love you blog and the gratitude you have shared with all of us.. Go Champions emoticon
