It's amazing what just 3 weeks can do...

On 11/1/16, I made a commitment with my Mom to spend a year to lose weight and get healthier. I am now tracking all of my foods and fluids going in. That's all I am doing. I have not really modified my diet too much other than trying to keep my foods around 1800 calories. I've lost a little over 10#, and my blood pressure is the best it has been in the whole year. At 3 weeks, I am already feeling more energy, lowering my blood pressure and losing weight. WHY is it so hard to stay on track when you see these kinds of benefits? It's crazy to me, the whole yo-yoing thing I've done most of my life. I don't want to be fat and unhealthy all of my life. I don't want to wait until I can't exercise or can't take care of myself to actually take care of myself. I'm done messing around. I am taking it a day at a time, and if I fall down, I will pull myself up off of that ground and push myself to just maintain. It took years to get this weight on me, and a year is reasonable time to get at least a good part of it off. Slow and steady. Weighing myself every day has also been a great help to watch as my weight trends up and down, and it honestly helps me each day focus on making small strides that will lead me to success. I'm doing it!
