Weight loss goal adjustment

On this day last year my weight loss goals were soft and hard. A hard goal of 30 lbs, non-negotiable, and a soft goal of 70 lbs, with evaluations every 10 lbs after the first 30. Well, 30 came and went and 50 became the hard goal. As I neared the 50 lbs mark, 70 became the new hard goal with 85 the soft goal. I'd really like to reach the 20 lbs by the end of May.

One lbs a week keeps me on track, faster than that would be awesome, but I have learned that I drop 10 to 12 lbs quickly and then maintain for a while before I drop more. So however long it takes, as long as I'm not gaining, I'm actually really good with myself. I know I will continue to become stronger and healthier, more fit and able to function better. I can already play longer with the grandbabies, and do better at museums and keeping up with the family on outings.

I love the way I look now, I love my pictures, and I love not being self conscious about how I look, but I know I have to stay diligent. There is still more clutter to go, and this is my year.
