Many people cringe at the word obedience. I love it. I love rules and guidelines. I find security and safety in them. I have always been a rule follower.
Losing weight is a process.
There are guidelines and rules:
*Eat less, Move more
*Just Do It!
*Eat real food
etc, etc, etc
But sometimes, no matter what weight-loss plan we're following: Keto, WW, Atkins, Paleo, etc... Sometimes that darn scale won't move
So, when the scale isn’t moving downward, or isn’t moving fast enough, here are some questions to ask:
Did I overeat this week on any day?
Did I move more and exercise regularly?
Do I feel lighter than I did last week on weigh-in day?
Did I eat in secret or out of anger or frustration?
Did I feel that, at any time, I ran to food to meet my emotional needs?
Before I hopped on the scale did I think I’d had a successful week?
Define yourself by your obedience to the process --- not on a number on a scale!
