44 Days

Tuesday, February 07, 2017

In 44 days, I will have the car loaded and be trying to get some rest in before we take off for our huge vacation. Spring Break in Florida! It's going to be interested to see how everything goes, but we're going to have a great time!

Now, some things to think about... I have to get into a bit of a walking routine otherwise Disney and Universal Studios will be really hard... assuming we get to go to them. Also, I need to be sure that everyone has at least one pair of good gym shoes! And I need to think about snacks... Yes, there will be some junk food, but I want to have some healthy options, too.

Oh, what *fun* Holly, and I agree, you have a nice training period to help you endure the long walks.

If you do get to go to both Disney World & Universal Studios, here's a LINK that may be helpful:

Even if you don't go to emoticon 'em, there's a whole bunch of *fun* to be had down in Florida.

There's basking on the white sands of Destin Beach for example. The Sea Oats Motel (phone: 850-837-6655) is an older (but clean) motel that is NOT over-populated, with a kitchen/dishwasher and if you need something like a skillet, just go to the front desk and they'll get you one. It even has a pool. Anyway, if you go, bring your own chairs and umbrellas because they do charge for those. LOL!! Oh, and if you go East, to: The Village of Baytowne Wharf (244 Fisherman's Cove) there's a FREE Parking Garage with CLEAN restrooms and a FREE Park (that's really cool) where the girls can play (Miramar Beach) that's only about 7.2mi away (roughly about a 15min drive). I don't get any kick-backs for sharing, LOL, but it's a lovely place for a nice family to go. ::winks::
