Starting over AGAIN. Lol.

Sunday, February 12, 2017

Well, I'm back.
Starting over AGAIN.

I'd be upset with myself... but oddly enough the more I find myself back at this point in my life the more I notice I'm ok. I'm back because I want to be healthier. But I've finally realized that my weight on scale doesn't have much to do with that.

I want to be healthier because this past summer I found out how AMAZING it feels to go backpacking. Hiking. Camping. Fishing.

I had to climb over these huge rocks to get all the way out here when I took the picture above and then I had to climb a 15 foot tall wall using a rope in order to reach the top. It was one of the best days in my life. I was SOOOO tired. But that moment when I reached the top I felt like I'd conquered the world. I can't wait to do it again this summer.

I found out I want to travel. I want to climb mountains. I want to sky dive and zip line and ride horses and jet ski. Everything. There's so much out there and for years I stayed home thinking I couldn't do those things.

I went to Atlanta last year. Then I went again this year for two weeks (my job allowed me to work remotely so I only took 1 day off). I took a road trip up to Lake Superior in MN and went backpacking near the Canadian border. Then I took a road trip by myself from Atlanta to New Orleans. I walked on the beach in Biloxi MS and picked sea shells while the sun came up. Absolutely fell in love and can't wait to do it again.

I did really well at one and lost around 50lbs. Then gained it all back in the next 8 months or so when my relationship was on the rocks.

It ended. 8 years - and it's over. It's kinda sad but it was a long time coming. I will admit it has kinda scared me off relationships a bit. But I'm not overly worried since after the breakup I've found out how HAPPY I can be. How much I can do. How amazing I am.

There's so much more I want to do.

While I'm not super crazy about the weight on the scale I did make it up to 268lbs this winter. I'm bringing that number down. I promised myself I would take better care of my body and I've noticed an improvement in some health problems that were bugging me a little. I've managed to lose about 12-13 lbs in the past 6 weeks since making my New Years Resolution. Summer is still a ways away and I'm already so much stronger. I can't wait to see what I can do this summer!!!!

And Next summer... :-D
It's gonna be awesome.
I'm on an amazing journey. We shall see where it takes me!

    Thank you so much.
And yes, things were a little rough for awhile but the breakup was really the best thing for all of us and I think we all got a chance to grow and become much stronger!

Oh you're so right...it's not about the scale. Sorry to hear about the personal side of things but it sounds as though you've come through the other side of that dark tunnel and seen the light on the other side. What a strong evolved woman you are!
