I had a really enjoyable weekend - though I had successes and some set backs!
I started the weekend with a Crossfit class. I'm really enjoying starting each weekend by leaving work a tiny bit early and getting in a Friday class - it's a great way to set the tone!
Then Friday night we had a night with my step daughter. I was super surprised - she didn't really seem to like Goonies! She said she did, but she did end up falling asleep during it. I think she was just really tired after a long school week. I, of course, watched it after she feel asleep. Who doesn't love Goonies?!
Saturday was great too! I got up and went grocery shopping, took the dog to get groomed, and then made a new recipe for breakfast. cookieandkate.com/2014/b
This was an amazing breakfast! It was healthy, filling and so fresh and delicious! I will totally make it again. I'm really enjoying these recipes that include baking eggs in some sort of vegetable.
Then, we went for a hike in some local woods. Afterwards, I went to Crossfit for an open gym. I did a workout with the coach who was working and another guy who was there. We had a good time hanging out and programing a workout together. I really enjoy the people at my gym - which is totally awesome!

But then Saturday night we went out and drank a lot! Which was the beginning of the end! My best friends husband is in Germany for work so she came out with us. She ended up spending the night so the next morning we went to get my car and out to lunch. I wasn't thinking and I ordered a beer with my lunch. Rather than realizing I had broken my rule of drinking more than one day in a weekend and stopping - I drank 3 more drinks! And ate crappy food for both lunch and dinner! Not only that - I didn't workout for the first time in February!
But bad decisions happen. So today I woke up and brushed it off and continued on. If I gain weight this week, I'll know why - but I'm not going to beat myself up about making a mistake. Happy Monday all!
