This week...

Wednesday, April 12, 2017

Well I guess I have the Doctors all confused. They can not believe I still have bronchitis. They put me on some heavy duty drugs last week and prednisone. They told me today that it should have knocked this bronchitis on its butt. Anyway I am not letting it stop me. I had to travel to Little Rock on Sunday. It is about a 4 hour drive from my house. I had to see the surgeon that did my brain surgery last September for a follow up to make sure the aneurysm is gone. Well that happened on Monday and i am still waiting to hear the results. Waiting is not my strong suit!

Now for the good part. Hubby and I do not usually get to go do anything fun. So, even though I was sick we went to the zoo on Monday between my appointments. A lot of the animals were hiding so we didn't really get to see too many. But I was happy I got to see the penguins!!

Then there were the eagles! They were beautiful!

Next came the jaguars...

Then came the elephant...

And of course no zoo is complete without the apes. This one looked like he was quite angry with us...

I had more pictures but a lot of them came out blurry thanks to my shaking hands. The zoo was really awesome!! This was my first time at a zoo in many many years that I actually could walk around it. By the time we went back to the hospital for the MRI we had walked 4 miles!! So that was my NSV for this week and you know what that means....

Yes!! It is the happy dance!
My next goal is to walk 5 miles on May 20th. That will leave just one more mile to be able to walk around the lake on my birthday September 8th.It looks like I am going to beat that goal too. This is exciting.
Well that is it from me tonight...

God bless you and keep you on your journey! Have a fabulous day!

Barb, that's super! I just know you're going to do it way before May 20th. I think it was great you got to go the zoo. That is one of my and hubby's favorite thing to do. When we travel to different states and locations, if they have a zoo, we go to it. The gorilla does look angry, maybe they didn't give him his morning coffee. The penguins are always great to see. I love them also.

I'm praying for you every day Barb! I am sending you healing prayers so that you will be able to knock this bronchitis to the moon and you start to feel better soon. Like you said no news is good news in the medical field. If something was terribly wrong, you definitely would of known by now. I know when we got abnormal results from the lab or radiology, the patient was always immediately notified. It was something that was done as a priority. I agree that if you still don't hear anything by the beginning of the week, you should call the office and inquire.

You take care Barb, wishing you the best, get better soon!

Wow - you are doing fantastic!! I'm so sorry you're still sick! Are you sure you're resting enough to let your body heal? When I get bronchitis or pneumonia, I'm in bed for at least a week and doing nebulizer treatments every four hours! The nebulizer helps me clear my lungs and the rest helps me heal. I'm adding you to my prayer list forthwith my friend!
