These are all words I was faced with at my doctor appoint for routine labs. My weight at the doctor that day was 257, and I have toyed with this for far too long. I have allowed excuses to overcome my progress. These words are exactly the motivation I needed. These words remind me that there are consequences for my negative actions. But there are going to be rewards for my positive actions. I have now been sugar free for 5 days because I know sugar is my drug of choice. It...just...got...real!

It's my mom's declining health due to obesity that's putting spring into my step. I have to do better and not follow in this particular footsteps.

Good for you! We've ALL had those times when we "buried our head", refusing to acknowledge what the mirror and our clothes were clearly telling us. YOU have decided to DO something about it, and even when you hit bumps in the road (and you will), you have the determination to be the best possible version of yourself!

It is interesting how we learn to better manage things that affect our health negatively. The O word is my nemesis and I am working to defeat it. We can do it...yes, we can!

Don't worry. You can get down to a manageable weight and you won't hear any of that. You will succeed.
