Stranded! But safe and dry!

Monday, May 01, 2017

This weekend mother nature hit Northwest Arkansas hard! The Governor declared a state of emergency here on Saturday. I thought the torrential rains would never stop. My mothers house had water damage. She had standing water in her living room and front bathroom. Here is what the road less than 1 mile from my house looked like...

This was in front of my niece's house...

This was the road just past my brothers home...

There were at least 5 confirmed deaths due to the flooding and 2 children were still missing yesterday. I have not heard anything today yet. I am so thankful everyone in my family are okay.
The problem now is mother nature is predicted to hit us again on Wednesday and we still have some roads closed and bridges washed out. I do not know how much more Northwest Arkansas can handle. I am so thankful that the tornado that touched down less than an hour and a half from here did not get here.
Now on the bright side according to our local news station one made found a way to get around in all this rain that was rather odd and they did not recommend it...

Now that my weekend is over it is time to move onto an even more disturbing fact...

Today is not Friday, Tomorrow is not Friday and the Next 2 days are not Friday! Who's idea of a cruel joke was this?

Well that is it from me for now...

God bless you and keep you on your journey! Have a fabulous day!
