Starting in the middle

I haven't wrote a blog in quite a while. I finished my first half marathon on April 1st, and I did pretty well. I was expecting to finish a little faster, but it was a muddy trail run so you could say conditions played a part in that. I finished with a time of 2:31. My goal was 2:09.
Since I was so focused on my runs, I let my weight go up a bit. It was impossible to cut calories when I was doing 7 and 8 mile runs. I weighed 141lbs on race day. 😕
Since I don't have any big races coming up ( I have a 5k on Saturday), I can focus on eating better.
I started tracking and cutting calories 2 weeks ago and I've lost 3lbs! Whoop! Whoop!
I've replaced all my sugary treats with fruits and vegetables. My stomach has had some trouble adjusting, but now it seems ok. I don't go under 1500 calories usually because I'm still running 4 days a week, and strength training 3 days a week.
I'm starting to feel a little better in my skin. 😊
