Happy Hump Day!

Wednesday, May 30, 2018

Hello fellow Sparklers!

I'm FINALLY starting to feel like normal again! Whatever normal is....lol It's only been 3.5 weeks! Goodness. I can't seem to wrap my head around these allergies! emoticon Last week my biggest obstacle was feeling lethargic and tired all the time. All I wanted to do was sleeeeep! emoticon Then Saturday, while still tired, I started the four day headache/migraine marathon. Back and forth from really bad headaches to migraines with the nauseousness and light sensitivity. It was grueling...especially during a three day long weekend that is supposed to be fun! lol emoticon

Then Monday night I awoke with a pain in my upper abdomen/under breasts that hurt when I was flat on the bed or sitting. I paced. I have had this pain before but when I finally went to the doctor they did a MRI which showed nothing and after a consult with a gastrointestinal doc, finally chalked it up to a deep acid reflux. I know what the normal esophageal acid reflux feels like and this feels nothing like that! It feels like I'm dying! I usually get short of breath and normally the pain will last about 15-20 minutes. Monday night it lasted a little longer and I had two episodes. Once it is done though, I feel totally fine. Blood pressure is normal. All is well. So I have no idea what it is....but it makes me leery to fall asleep! emoticon

Yesterday, after another all day headache, I went to the chiropractor and within 30 minutes of getting cracked I felt fine! I love my chiropractor! He said my neck was substantially out of whack and could have been causing much of the pain. So today is finally the first day I feel halfway decent. Yeah!!! Still a little short of breath but that is my own fault since I did not use my inhaler for a couple of days due to all of the other drugs I was ingesting--I kinda feel a little foggy from all the meds. But today I am back to inhaling! Soooo, steroids are finished, antibiotics are finally finished, and hopefully Excedrin migraine and/or ibuprofen pills are finished. I'm also in hopes that stopping all these pills will make my stomach feel tons better! I can finally see the light out of the sickness!

I am hoping to get back to working out and eating better within the next few days. I am not sure how I will be able to exercise with the breathing issues but I will find something doable. Thanks for listening and letting me vent. I am just so sick of being sick! I am not a fan of allergy season!

Everyone have a happy and healthy Wednesday!

But I am sorry about the difficulties you have had with allergies, migraines and the other pain. I had read that allergies are worse than ever this year, due to a late/wet spring, so everything is in pollen at the same time. I take an Allegra each day (for hives), but it seems to help. The pain you were experiencing in your upper abdomen...my thoughts were perhaps gallbladder pain, if it happens within an hour or so of eating, especially fatty foods and is like a spasm type pain, or perhaps trapped gas that works itself out (Gas-X is a big help for that one!). I hope it doesn't occur again for you. The migraines....ugh....I have terrible migraines, and this year has been bad. I get them when it rains or snows due a change in barometric pressure, and we've had a ton of rain lately, so lots of migraines. The Excedrin Migraine helps some for me. Also caffeine, magnesium, and sleep, but usually I need prescription meds. I'm glad the chiropractor works for you! Hope you are on the mend now, and that the coming weekend is better than last! Hang in there!
