Today is the end of the Spring 5% Challenge. I was not able to lose my 5% but I have maintained, which is definitely a plus.

When I sat down to try to figure out what I was most proud of this challenge, I couldn't come up with just one thing.

I am proud that I stayed active and exercised every day.
I am proud that I increased my daily steps to 2000 a day.
I am proud that I tracked my food and followed my diet 90% of the time.
I am proud that I was able to beat the odds about weight gain on my meds.
I am proud of me.
I am proud that I believe in me again.
I am proud that I have a support system here and at home

Yes I plan to beat the odds, but until then here are my short term goals.

1. Increase my daily steps to 3500
2. Enjoy at least 2 dinners a week without meat.
3. Work on back strength and begin to exercise without sitting in a chair
4. Remember each of these will take time and not get impatient

I know that it will not be easy doing any of these. But that is exactly what I want. I want something that will challenge me to be better.

I also know I did not include weight in there. I definitely would love to lose the 120 pounds I am overweight. I know that with my conditions and my meds that is not a practical goal right now. That being said, I am still working on losing weight I am just not going to concentrate on it. I have to concentrate on living healthy and the rest will come.
