Hello Sparkies, I hope you are okay. I don't know what I am going to blog about really. Mostly just a bit of a catch up and say hello emoticon . Since I last blogged I have kept away from scammers, and any chance of falling for anyone online. My gout is there still but not giving me the daily pain. Mostly just pain now and again, and just having pain relief when I need it. I am on my gout meds daily. I have found the drinking lots of water(which is important with gout) to be harder in this freezing weather. My sticking to healthy eating is a bit of a joke, a bad one:) I'm always saying or deciding I must work on my health. My annual leave that I have in August is coming up, along with my 54th birthday which I always take off work. And I always have plans and goals to get slimmer,healthier etc for that. It's a good time to get started and of course actions speak louder than words. I do a few days or weeks even and somehow I always manage to give up-until next time. I was doing so well after the new year I was great at going in the supermarket and avoiding all the piggy food that was screaming out "eat me". I did that brilliantly, until we got our new fridge. And I have not got onto the right track for long since. And again it is high time I put my words "I can do it", into action. Because I can do it. emoticon . emoticon

    It is good we can always restart. Imagine when we were learning to walk if we gave up due to falling so much? Someone gave me pasta salad with red peppers, onions, and celery in it, and what a delight in our hot weather to have a cold thing to eat that has veggies in it. My budget is super slim so any free food helps so much. You would think I could then lose weight. Not. Old habits die hard.

    I have found that if I try to take on too much at one time then it is easy to fail. Plan for success by breaking it down into smaller pieces. For example, what will you eat today & how does it fit your Spark macros?
