How Can I Enjoy Thanksgiving and Not Blow My Plan?

You need a plan and perspective.

My personal perspective is that Thanksgiving is a single day with leftover food. Let yourself enjoy a day without gorging until sickness. Enjoy is the key word. Eat what you like and avoid what you don’t. Be with who you like and avoid who you don’t. Stress is not something to be thankful for.

We definitely should be thankful for our abundance of food, so let us share it! Send leftover food home with others. Freeze it, meal prep, or batch cook for healthy portioned meals.

-Drink water or low calorie drinks while you eat because you will get full faster.
-Focus on protein and fiber first.
-Take a walk with others instead of watching tv.
-Wear something that makes you feel magnificent! You will want to eat less.
-Take a small plate or some smaller paper plates and eat from those.
-Focus on giving people things to be grateful for instead of what you can eat.
