Nothing is going to change my plans today...ok, almost nothing

Now that the farmers markets, food truck festivals and Christmas markets are over I can put my mixer on rest for 2 days before I start on the Christmas orders. There was nothing that was going to talk me into baking cookies today. Today I was going to enjoy a well earned day off, gaze out my window while I enjoyed my coffee and curl up with a book.
First change of plans was when the realtor called to set up a showing for this morning. Someone wants to look at the house, it's clean, the answer is always yes. I've decided that when there's a showing I go for a run. For a first viewing I've found that a 3K run is plenty of time, for a second showing I go for a 5K. This accomplishes a couple of things, reduces the stress that selling a house brings on and gets me out for a well needed run. So far there's only been one 5K run, we were so hopeful for that one but alas, they didn't give us the final rose.
Back at home, realtor's card tucked away I changed and got back into my zen place. The phone rang with a video chat request. It was my youngest granddaughters wanting to come over and bake Christmas cookies. Well played, well played.
You want to bake cookies, of course we can!
This made me realize the date and that this weekend there's a Hallmark Christmas movie on. If you watch those make sure to keep an eye out for a baker in the scene at the Christmas market, it's my daughter and all the baking done is her's (She's a pastry Chef). Well, almost. There should be a scene with a Christmas cookie exchange. I'm not saying those are my cookies...oh hang on, yes, yes I am.
