So, I've started doing things to improve my life and my health. My husband and I are both working towards the goal of catching our bills up, I am trying to better manage both my physical and mental health, and in doing so I've noticed alot of issues coming into light that I *thought* I had dealt with. Has anyone else had this happen to them? And if so, how did you handle the issues you thought had been previously...well....handled?

    Yes. I'd been using eating & food & weight as means of avoiding dealing with things that I *thought* I'd handled; in reality I'd just pushed them partway aside. As the weight's started coming off, they've started bubbling up to the surface. No magic wand for a solution--healing self-talk, discussing with trusted friends, reminding myself why I'm doing this, etc.
