A bad day that turned into a good day

Wednesday, April 10, 2019

Today was a day I pray that I don't have to go through again.

I received a call this morning asking me if I new what was going on. I told him I was sleeping and didn't know what was going on. He told me he would call me back in a few minutes. Of course I am panicking because I don't what the heck is happening.

He called me back and told me that one of my grandsons had taken 8 100 mg Seroquel pills. He was taken to the hospital and had to stay for awhile. He had to speak with a counselor and he has to go for counseling. The kids these days or up against so many things and so many are committing suicide. I am glad that this did not have a bad ending.

I think that I have calmed down, but I sure could have used some valium. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

A year ago my oldest Grandson did the same thing (tried to end his life), only with a knife. He is doing better but I can't help but worry. My love goes out to you Sue.

My grandson is doing better and he goes for counseling and they will determine what meds, if any, that he may need. Thank you for all the prayers comments.

Oh Sue!! Thank goodness for a better ending than could have happened. Young people's brains are not so developed and they do not have the knowledge or information or hope enough to know life won't always be so difficult. They cannot know anxiety will lessen, and that today is not indicative of the rest of their life's opportunities.
Many Blessings for you and especially for your dear Grandson. May he grow strong and may his self esteem develop so he feels connected and affirmed and loved and "enough"

Oh Sue!! So SCARY hon!! I'm glad he's physically safe, but of course emotionally and mentally he needs help. No doubt you S or D is making sure he's going to get help.

My GD took a lot of aspirin wanting to the when she was 16. Scary indeed!! She had called me asking if she could come over. I lived 12 mins from them. Of course I said yes. It was a very rare time she had gone home. You may remember she stayed with me 99% of the time.

She did see a counselor at school and found out so did most of her friends!! She was shocked.
Now she's 23 dealing with depression, but making it.

    Many hugs hon. The fear!!
