My Fitbit ONE

Monday, May 27, 2019

Ok, I lost one of bestes companions today. My Fitbit One died. I loved that little contraption and they discontinued it so I couldn't get another. I picked up a Fitbit Flex 2 on sale back a few months ago to replace my beloved Fitbit ONE when it decided to peter out.

Being technically challenged with many computer devices, I spent my evening trying to get the new device up and running. I called for customer service and she assisted me some and gave me some tips. I finally made some progress, but then I had to test it as well. I wogged in front of the TV for 30 minutes or so. It all looks good right now.

I wonder how it is going to work in the water when I do my aerobics. I will find out in the morning.

My Fitbit One was a real Trooper and gave me good service, I feel I should give it a proper burial and memorial service. We were quite attached and along with Walking4fun we seen a lot of miles and Country Side with our virtual walking. Although I now have a similar device, it's not going to be the same. Oh well, life must go on.

Those FitBit Ones were something else, like all other good products discontinued all too soon.

Hello. Iโ€™m using the Fitbit versa. I like how it tells me itโ€™s been and hour and I need to move. First week of the healthy fit challenge is giving me direction too. Look forward to losing weight. This blc 41 I came in with a spark friend from 2012. I weigh more now but itโ€™s coming off and Iโ€™m feeling good. God Bless you sister. Always praying for everyone.

I loved my Fitbit One and still miss it. Since then I've had a Flex (broke cover and wrist band broke off device). I now have an Ionic which I mostly use to monitor my sleep. Hubby still has his Fitbit One and loves it. Too bad they stopped making it.

I do understand. It is so hard to change; I hate it when something we love is no longer available!
Hope you learn to love the new Fitbit!

I understand how you feel. If something happened to my Charge 2, I'd replace it right away. emoticon

I have the fitbit 2 and I don't even think I'm exaggerating when I say that it changed my life last year.
These little contraptions of technology are the BEST!

I love my Fitbit. I really am very dependent on it.

FYI - The Fitbit One is not water proof. I put mine in 2 little plastic bags, then in a water proof container. The majority of the time it gave me my step count, but never any minutes. I loaded the minutes manually. It never recorded the swim time as being aerobic either. The Flex 2 seems to be taking care of all that. It does say it is swim proof. but I am not trusting that either and will stick to my water proof container.

I bought a clip for the Flex 2 which I no longer find in Accessories. I do not like the wrist bands at all. I was hoping the large band would fit on my ankle but it isn't happening. That is what I need for this device so I could wear it on my ankle over my anklets so it wouldn't irritate the skin. I think I will go talk to FitBit about that.....If they would only listen.

I know what you mean, love my One. Can't wear anything on my wrists so don't know what to do when it dies. It is pretty old and been an excellent device.

It's strange how we grow to depend on little gadgets. I'm on my 2nd Fitbit charge and have only had it 9 months. It's starting to give me fits๐Ÿ˜•. Have a blessed day ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™

It is true all Fitbits are not created equal and all users seem to have a favourite. Glad you found one you like to replace your Fitbit One. I'm sure the Fitbit Flex 2 will give you the same inspiration to be active. emoticon
