This past weekend we took a trip to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, which is not far from Branson, MO. This place is gorgeous. I'm not sure if the pictures I took will do it justice. The boys went horseback riding, I don't have a picture of that because neither one of them have sent me one. While they did that Mike and I walked the trails. When the boys were done we had lunch and then took a tour of the park on a tram. They are hiring tram drivers and who knows you may find out I applied, got hired and we are moving, it is a good possibility. Time will tell. So on with the show.
My thoughts as we are waiting for it to open was, "Are we going to Jurassic Park?"
These are different shots of when you first go in. This building is the restaurant and a small museum.
Me and my baby, can you believe he's going to be 21 in 6 days?
Normally I don't take pictures of bathrooms, but this one was awesome.
This is what we road in for the tour.
More of the place
Brothers waiting to ride the horses
I don't know how many of you have heard of or seen the show Master Tree House Builders on the animal planet network, but this was built by them a couple years ago.
Each one of the stairs is made from a different type of wood that you find in the area and they are marked what they are.
View from a balcony.
Birdhouses on side of tree house.
Bridge that takes you to the education center and gift shop. There were a couple chipmunks running around but I wasn't fast enough to get a picture.
Wild canary at the feeder, may not come out to good here.
There are waterfalls all over. These we saw on our walk and tour.
This is called reflection pool
This was had built by the Amish in the 90's
The Chapel where they have weddings
Coming back almost ready to leave
One last photo op with my baby in front of the biggest falls on the property
Brothers heading to the car ready to call it a day.
This is not everything, just some of the highlights. Let me say if you have the chance to go, go, it's a great place.
