Eat to Beat Disease

Wednesday, July 31, 2019

I have recommended Dr. William Li and his Ted Talk about "Can we Eat to Starve Cancer" in the past. I still believe in that information. I have been in remission (since 2011) from cancer after surgery, radiation and 4 years of chemotherapy.

I just found a new book published this year (2019) by Dr. William Li. It's title is Eat to Beat Disease. He goes beyond the foods with antiangiogenic qualities that he explained in his Ted Talk.

I've had the book a week and I believe it is going to change my life, once again. I don't understand everything. I still have trouble focusing when I read. I would do much better if he had made the scientific applications available in a video.

But there is LOTS of applications to my everyday life that I am already applying.

I wish I had this information available to me about 5 years. I might have avoided having to have the vascular surgeon put in the stent, and just recently to close a vein in my left calf. Im am steadfastly working toward September to see if I can do something about the vein in my right calf. It might not be enough time to fix it by then, but it might show enough improvement to be able to put off the procedure to give food a chance.

I'll be posting more information on the team pages as I feel comfortable with recommending specifics.
