So, I'm one week in to the diabetes prevention program at work. I started with one simple goal. Walk 15 minutes at lunch at a moderate pace. I planned out a route and it took about 17 minutes. It includes a small hill. Mission accomplished. I did notice a bit of discomfort in my chest, so I followed up with the doctor. Had an EKG this morning that looked good. We'll follow up with a stress test as soon as the insurance okays it. There is a family history of heart trouble, so we're not being casual about it.
I know weight fluctuates, but mine has been all over the place these last 10 days or so. I've been averaging around 316. Dropped to 312 at the start of the DPP. It went up through the week to over 322 before starting back down. I don't normally stress about swings in my weight. they happen. But that was a bit of a roller coaster ride on the scale.
