Great Weigh IN!
Tuesday, February 25, 2020
Last week I stepped on the scale and was in tears. All that hard work thown to the wind for one brief extravagant weekend. It was my 29th wedding anniversary and we celebrated with fine dining, good friends and a few drinks. Who would have thought it would have tipped the scale and caused me to gain 5 pounds! Five pounds of hard work, five pounds of focus and exercise. Five pounds!
Well thank goodness for the awesome weight counselors. Mine helped me to understand that the increased salt content in the restaurant food was having me hold onto water. I hadn't been drinking enough water and my body was hording. My impedance numbers showed that I had not gained back any fat and they told me that it would come back of quickly, as soon as I returned to good eating habit.
And it did. I had a good week. Made sure I got the recommended fluids, stayed away from simple carbohydrates and journaled every bite. It is really, REALLY important to keep track. If I do not track it, I overeat.
I also went back to measuring servings and weighing my protein. Whatever program you are on that works for you...Do it! The weight came off and I am at my lowest weight since starting to loose in October. A total of 36.3 pounds lost!!! I GOT THIS!
