yesterday was quite a day

Wednesday, May 20, 2020

good Morning - travel agent called and we postponed our trip to Africa from this September 2020 to July 2021. It was something we never planned on doing, but the virus had other ideas. DH & I look so forward to our trips. He is not happy now with gout, no baseball, no swimming and now no trip. I am ready to run away. Yesterday was rough - we are all under such strain. Some people handle it better than most. If I can just ignore DH, I would be ok. But he is so intense and in my face - where is this - where is that. I said to him what about his train layout. I can't do anything without something coming in. Puzzle - work on that. He wants me to join him. I need my space. My grand kids are facetiming me on their MessagerKids by FaceBook. My GD and GS. We were having such marvelous conversations with GD aged 8. But my GS soon to be 6 whined and he was shown how to do this app too. Now when they are awake- I get message after message from them both. My GS is like a crazy kid on it. I think my DD is just so tired of having the kids home - that she gave them permission to contact me. So for 1-2 hours per day - it is like crazyville with my GKs on "Facetime". I have gotten so tired of it - I sometimes do not answer my phone.
My GD daughter said to me - when is this virus going to end. I told her no one knows. It is a trying time for us all. TG for my book. I can get lost in it. I am stilling exercising and I am grateful. I am grateful for so much - my health is number 1. have a good day! I will! emoticon emoticon

DH and I had a heart to heart. He says he is going to try harder. It goes in spurts. When he is not busy, he gets hyper. I have known this for 41 years. The difference he went to work. Now he wants me to entertain him. I have my own things I love to do. If I give him a list then he will do them all at once instead of spreading them out and then he is hyper again. I have to set boundaries in the morning. I have been waking up slowly. I drink tea non caffeine so my BP stays down. I do not want a lot of talk about the news in the morning. emoticon Our trip to Africa was a big one 6 weeks and 8 countries. I was to have my birthday at Victoria Falls. Any ways, we will go next year instead of my birthday - we will see the great migration in Tanzania hopefully. Life is change and more change than one can handle at times. Love you all. TY emoticon

We have had to cancel two trips so far also. There is another planned for beginning of August and another for end of September. We shall see about those two. However, safety first, so can't be helped. Enjoy the grandkids!
