Happiness is...

My stepping stone this week is Happiness. We have been working on happiness this week in the 5% Summer Challenge.

Happiness does not mean you have everything. It means you make the most of what you have....

Sing a happy song...
That just made me remember a song from my childhood and one I have sung with my grandchildren...

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands

You sang that with me didn't you? Did you smile or even laugh? Happiness is contagious.

In every life we have some trouble

Not a singer? that's okay sing anyway. What about dancing? Dance while you exercise. Dance like nobody can see you and you do not have a care in the world.

Do a kindness for someone. This one makes both you and them smile.

It is said that a happy person will lose weight much faster than one that that is not happy. Make finding healthy recipes fun. Try picking 1 night a week to try a new recipe. If you have a family at home, make it a family affair finding a new recipe. Make it a game to see who can find the best sounding healthy recipe.

I also practice mindfulness everyday. It really puts me in a happy place.
