Altho I'm online late for the first time today, just wanted to sadly remember with honor, 9-11, and those who have died and are still dying today from inhaling the catastrophic air during the months of cleanup after.
I was living in Maryland at the time, and saw the Pentagon burning from the highway.
Remember the Canadians who took in our grounded flyers into their own homes with no notice;
remember the eerie feel of the empty skies for weeks afterward;
and the anger that hardened like steel, nationwide, within 3 days.
Remember the lines of cars, miles long, of ordinary Americans going to the gates of local bases in their communities to offer the grassroots support of the American people.
Remember the churches that were packed to overflowing the following Sunday.
