Peace and hope

Monday, October 26, 2020

Let's face it, 2020 has not turned out how any of us would have expected it! Is there anyone out there who, when making resolutions or putting together your calendar for 2020, thought, "I bet a deadly virus is going to be unleashed on the world. No one will be safe and we will have to quarantine. "? My mother has often said this year has reminded her of a movie. I never saw any of the virus movies for this very reason. What has 2020 taught us? Wash our hands. Appreciate your health What about... Love others Be kind Respect people Encourage others Help others What has 2020 taught you? (Oh, and another lesson, there are weird insects out there: flying spiders, murder hornets, poisonous caterpillars. ) Have a great Monday! 49 and feeling fine!

Hopefully it has taught us all to appreciate what we DO have and the people in our lives we love! As humans it's so easy to take things for granted, but we aren't promised ANYTHING. If it is taking us more than a minute to think of something in our life we can be grateful for, we likely need to sit down and take stock of why we can only see negative and not positive!

Great blog! I’ve focused on patience, gratitude, family, health, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and outreach (virtually) to others. Love your blog ending so.......68 and feelin’ great!

This year has taught me the limit of my homebody tolerance.

Our year has definitely been one for the books! I just ordered the kids' 2020 Christmas ornaments and they are definitely reflecting the year!

Perfectly stated! Even when we returned from South America on March 1st (no cases there at that point), NEVER did I think we would still be in this.

Never did I think people would ignore its seriousness.
Never did I expect to be ridiculed for taking precautions.

My blog last week was about "Preparing for Winter"
Today the furnace guy is here telling us our TWO units have to be replaced. Oh joy!

Definitely a time of realizing the wonderful family and friends I have, and being grateful for all my needs being met. There are challenges, but . . . even in the best of times, there are challenges.

My life changed some. But for the most part it's back to normal. I think I liked lock down a bit more than I should have lol.

A lot of people found this time of quarantine a blessed time with their family. Others have seen it as a time of change, 20/20 has been what you make it!

It’s certainly been surreal living in this quarantine bubble. At times it’s been mind numbingly quiet and at other times the worry, frustration, and sorrow wrap painfully around my heart. It’s so hard to be so far away from the people I know and loved ones who have gotten Covid 19 and heartbreaking not to be able to say goodbye to those who have passed on in the last six months. I pray and leave it in God’s hands and try to continue to have hope.

It's certainly made people realize how lucky they are to have family and to take better care of themselves and Yes appreciate the little things that make life worth living.

I dare not wish for the end of this year and look to 2021............who knows what comes next?

Better to love your nearest and dearest and try to find a joy in every day emoticon
