So Blessed and Thankful

I saw my parents for the first time since last Christmas this weekend. They are in their early 80s and I've been staying away because of the Covid virus. They live 200 miles away and usually my mom comes to visit me twice a year and then my son and I go up for Christmas. I really missed seeing them. We didn't have a family get together for this Christmas, which was different in itself. Social distancing was very difficult, but my son and I did everything we could to keep my parents safe. I knew it was difficult to wear a mask for hours at a time, but I didn't realize how difficult until I had a mask on from waking to sleeping for 2 1/2 days.
My son and I wouldn't have gone up at all, but my brother had a gift for me that couldn't wait, according to him. The present from my brother was his "old" car! You read that right. My brother gave me his 2016 GMC Terrain!!!
My parents, sister and my son all knew about it.
Most of you don't know that I am disabled due to a spinal cord injury. I am still able to walk and do most things for myself, thank goodness. I can no longer work and was LPN when the surgery happened. So, my income is Social Security Disability, which doesn't allow for many things to be purchased unless it's essential things.
My vehicle was a 2002 mini van. Runs really good, but doesn't look the best. Things were getting ready to go wrong with it because of it's age. It got where I needed to go and that's all I needed.
I still have no words to say how thankful I am for my family. I have no way to show how much I appreciate what my family has done for me over the years.
