What does a new year really mean?

Every year I read through resolutions or goals for the new year that so many people make and I often get caught up in making them myself. The year 2020 was a particularly hard one for me, like so many others but I don't want to make the same "resolutions" as before. Unfortunately, As I read through my SMARET goals in the blog before this one, I am reminded that these are really important to me. I'm posting them again and just adding that this year, these are my focus for living not something I want to check put a check mark by.
Goal - Lose the last 40lbs that hang on my body frame
I will achieve this by:
*sticking to Whole Foods Plant Based lifestyle I started 2 years ago. Being more diligent in avoiding added oils and sugars and eating less processed foods
*adding daily exercise so I can have more energy
* Enjoying life more with friends and family because without them there is no need for the above
Time to start really living
