what a wonderful talk this morning

Saturday, January 02, 2021

good morning. I see growth in my DH. He is taking charge of getting balance in his life. I had to always point out his need to do more exercise or eat less or watch what he eats. I really got tired of that. A program only works if you own it.
I have always worried about his health at one time he was 75 lbs overweight with a stressful job. He lost the 75 over the last 3 years. 35 of it was with the isolation. The change is that he is not constantly obsessing about his weight or his exercise. We are talking more about our trips we are going to take. What a welcome change! He is more positive. I had let go so therefore I am more successful with my program. He says he is going to go for a walk this afternoon. I let him go b/c he walks so much faster than I. I can actually injury my knee trying to keep up. I enjoy my time on my treadmill when he goes to the Y for swimming or goes for a walk. Our city was going to impose more strict guidelines due to the increase in cases from COVID. But our Attorney General who is still fighting jail time in the courts and trying to get a pardon from our President took it to court. So everyone can eat in restaurants and bars in our city and spread the virus. I am still very strict with my protocol. I am strong, confident, and positive.
Stay safe! have a wonderful day! I will! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So great that he's owning it! It really sucks to be the nagging voice of reason
