Clearing the clutter
Friday, February 05, 2021
I retired last June an have been changing the things that clutter my life. My husband and I had to clear out a loved ones home after they were put in nursing home. It took days. Then we started looking at our own home and said do we want our children to deal with all we have accumulated. So we made it our mission to get rid of the excess stuff we really don’t need.
I had a bunch of boxes of clothes saying lose 15 pounds. We came to the conclusion that once I lose that much weight I will buy what I need. That way it’s not clogging our home.
There is a bunch of things like that stuff I haven’t used or he hasn’t in years. We just don’t need it anymore. It helps to mentally help since I don’t feel overwhelmed.
I told my husband retirement is the start of a new part of my life. Let’s make it the time to make permanent changes.
