Ok...Like many of you, I have been a yo-yo dieter since I was in high school. I've tried it all from the "Egg, hot dog, banana diet" to programs like WW and low carb. My weight has been as low as 140 to a high of 268.



Once I started with spark, I realized I was not alone. Then I looked into teams and found a Biggest Loser Challenge.(BLC) Wow...what a great support. The focus really wasn't on the "biggest loser" but it was on me and what I could do to help ME.



Since joining BLC, my weight has gone up and down a little but not nearly what I have done in the past. ...in fact the biggest gain was when I had a total knee replacement- The year before I decreased in exercise and after I had some complications and had to be on bed rest for 4 weeks. But during that time, I continued to log on and go to my team. Just being with the group reminded me..."you don't want to go back to where you were" So it helped keeping my eating in check and gave me some motivation to exercise even if it was something low impact or from a chair.



Support is the key..Not how fast the numbers change. I found out that the only one that worries about the numbers is me and now I have learned to focus on me and accept the numbers (good, bad, or Ugly) . The support of the team and the little Non-Scale Victories are what is important. Baby steps have helped me get away from the Yo-Yo dieting cycle.
