Hello, Hello, Hello to all my Sparkfriends!
It's been a while since I posted an update. We all have probably been greatly effected by the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020 and our continuing battle to get it under control. Hubby and I will receive our second dose of the Moderna vaccine next week. We've been very diligent in following all of the CDC guidelines and will continue to do so.
We do miss visiting with family and friends. Hopefully, once they are vaccinated we can safely visit again.
The only big change on my health & fitness journey is the plant-based approach to eating to prevent and reverse chronic illness. I started this "WOE" as a Meatless Monday on February 1, 2021 which turned into a Tuesday and so forth and so on LOL! It was not as challenging as first perceived.
I armed myself with science-based information, webinars, cookbooks, and real support from family and friends. As a matter of fact, family members are becoming plant-based, too. We are all at different levels which is great. You eat in a way that is best for your body.
Since eating this way I seem to have more energy, sleeping better, loss of weight (10 lbs so far) and food budget seems lower (less meat being purchased). Hubby still consumes some meats but will eat at least ONE meatless meal per day.
On the fitness equation I do resistance training every other day right now per a program being used. It is Coach Scott Abel's Hardgainer Solution 3.0 (aka Abel's At-Home-Version for HGS). It has 32 different workouts. I performed number 25 this morning. The only necessary equipment are resistance bands, dumbbells and bodyweight.
