This was me at my fattest---probably about the time I joined Spark-
When I become discouraged, I like to look back and see that I really have come a long way---
But--It seems like it has taken a zillion years!
To-morrow is International Women's Day--or--is it to-day?
I never even knew there was such a thing until I took a few Women's Studies courses from Laurentian University in Sudbury.
I left Himself to look after the HERD--- and joined a group of teachers in town, who were getting their B.A,
I was intrigued that anyone recognized women's work--At that time I had 5 children at home.
The classes were so interesting--the discussions and essays also.
The theme this year is, "Women in Leadership"--achieving an equal future in a Covid world
Women still get paid 11% less than men , doing the same work-
I am heading to the grocery shortly--for bananas of course , plus lettuce--- and bread and eggs--and more!
I really hope that Himself does not wander out onto the icey driveway--or--call one of the kids and upset them--
I never knew at my age now, that I would be looking after this man! ---- Life really is so interesting isn't it?- One never knows what a new day will bring!
Son #2 is in Vancouver--- will fly back to-night-
Son #1 is not speaking to his Dad --or to me--just when I need him the most!
I think the rest of the Herd are fine---
Lord love a duck! I think I should write a book--- but, it might scare younger families to see what they might be in for--LOL---
Don't forget--SPRING is coming!
