Flogging Away the Ounces

Today is my four year SPARK anniversary!
There is no question that I have lost weight here at SPARKPeople. I have lost over twenty pounds by cutting out all sugar and added sugar foods, resulting in a healthier BMI. I have added more muscle and shed more fat. But I'm not done. I now need to enter maintenance mode.
This is where it gets difficult for me. Am I at my ideal weight? Can I eat more food? Do I still want to lose more weight? All good questions and not easy to answer.
I always felt that my ideal weight would be linked to an athletic build, and that is when I can see my abs. We all have abs, but probably just can't see them, and I still have some belly fat hiding them here and there. Probably the last 10% of fat I need to work off to see them.
So here I go, entering maintenance mode. My plan is to flog away the ounces as I learn how to master 'maintenance mode'. I want my journey to be proactive, like a fine-tuned healthy well-oiled machine.
It's the ounces that slowly creep back in.
It's the ounces I need to keep flogging away.
It's the ounces that add up to equal a pound.
Education and prevention is the key. I'm still learning and looking for ways to keep the ounces from creeping back in. My SPARKPeople friends are helpful.
