2020 and 2021

What a mess this past year and the beginning of this year have been!!

We have dealt with so many struggles with family and at a time when keeping our distance was not a blessing! It was a time when we needed to be in contact with one another!

These are a few of the things we have been going through: my middle daughter trying to commit suicide and discovering she has mental issues. My youngest not speaking to us (we finally were able to resolve this somewhat, at least she is talking to us now). My husband's brother dying, we just found out it was a brain aneurism possible due to high blood pressure. My husband having to figure out the power of attorney, get banks to allow access and pay 4 months of payments that were behind for his mom that has Alzheimer's. Dealing with his hurt from not being able to see her and now being able too and her not knowing who he is. My grandson going into the Navy just to get COVID coughing up blood and us not able to speak with him since he is in boot camp. We finally heard that he is doing better and will now finish boot camp around April 8th.

Another difficulty has been the large drop in attendance at our church. My husband is the pastor. We are down to around 10- 20 people still showing up. I continue to pray that things will improve. A blessing in all of this was someone listening on the web felt led to send us a very generous gift which will help the church financially.

I didn't mean for this to be a bummer blog, but it does help me to vent. Praise God, I am thankful that things seem to be turning from bummers to blessings. I put my trust in the Lord as he leads us through the turmoil and into the blessings.
