75 Hard Challenge

I wrote this for a Spark Team I'm on and thought I'd just share it in case anyone else is interested in doing the challenge.

How many of you have heard of this challenge? I had never heard of it until last week. Someone mentioned it on FB and curiosity got the better of me so I had to google it. Google led me down the rabbit hole, of course. And after a bit of reading and researching I decided this was just what I needed. You see, I'm one of those people that never seems to stick with working out as consistently as I intend to. I never eat as clean as I plan. I can come up with a million and one reasons to not stick to it. I'm sure many of you know the story -- I'm too tired, I didn't get up in time, I'm busy, It's a holiday, etc. However, this got my attention and seemed like something that would give me a bit of a challenge yet I felt confident I could do it.

I'm a week in. I'm loving it. Actually I'm a bit more than a week. Today is Day 9.

Here are the rules for the challenge:


The morning workout gets me going. Honestly! I'm giving some serious thoughts about giving up the morning 2 cups of coffee because I'm energized after my workout anyway so I don't know that i need it. Usually I have two cups at home and then another cup once I arrive at work. You can workout anytime but I picked the first thing in the morning and then usually my second workout is afterwork. So far the hardest part of the challenge for me is taking that darn selfie each day. Who knew that would be such a challenge?

You can do the challenge for free. I'll go ahead and say I ordered the book thinking it would be some interesting reading but it's a like a training journal and I already use one so I'll just hold onto it and use it later. I did buy the app (I think it was $4.99) but you don't have to have the app to do the challenge. You don't really need anything but if you need a check list the app is great. Also you can google it and there are sheets on line you can print for free to check off each day or to count down the 75 days.

    I've done it. I never made it to day 75 as I had blood pressure issues and had to quit until my Dr. released me to exercise. I had fun doing it! I even started a Spark Team on here for it. I'm the only member right now but feel free to join and help me get the Spark going on HARD75 again!
