What's on the Skids Today?

Maybe it's just us? Or maybe there was a longshoreman in the family in bygone years that instilled this phrase in our lexicon?
Looking up this idiom leads one to definitions of down and out deterioration and despair. It hints at the dereliction of 'skid row' and/or the threat of utter ruin.
This is not how our family uses it.
Further delving may take one to the phrase 'grease the skids' which is defined as relating to preparing the 'skids' (long planks) to be used to move pallets of material goods in loading or lading operations.
This is more like it!
In our lexicon 'What's on the Skids Today?' is a query about plans, goals, and aspirations. It is a communication tool to determine the expected order of events on any given day; as in, what's lined up for today? It is a opportunity to remind partners of appointments or commitments that may have been forgotten or never acknowledged, even though they are plainly noted on the family calendar (who ever bothers to look at that? ;). Sometimes it helps firm up the others plans or leads to negotiations: "how about I help with that and then you help with my project?"
It can be applied to Sparking as well. What are your healthy goals for today? What order do they need to occur? What support do you need? How can you 'grease the skids' for success? Do you need to negotiate?
Hit your targets today Spark Peeps! I'll be putting a star on the calendar for my success, I hope you will too!
