I am constantly amazed at how many nurses and retired nurses are here on Spark People! That might be one of the reasons it such a great place with great humor, good advice and compassion and empathy! So here's just a quick shout-out to all of you who work or have worked in the nursing profession!
This year's annual "pinning ceremony" for those new graduates of the nursing program here at our college was Sunday. Several of the older nurses commented on the fact that they don't have to wear the little white hats anymore. I had forgotten about those!

I'm wondering how many nurses will leave the profession after working all through Covid-19, and how many young women will decide to look for a different profession... the nurses I know are exhausted and very discouraged. They are working against almost impossible odds.
