I refuse to take shortcuts or meddle with mediocrity.
When I hear something I want to practice or a mantra I want to incorporate, I’ve been adding them to my calendar as reminders to practice. I’m up to 17!
This one stood out to me today. I’ve been “working” on my relationship, which is to say I’ve written and planned about it, but my actual effort is lackluster. “I refuse to take shortcuts or meddle with mediocrity” is a great reminder to stop taking half measures.
What affirmations are you currently leveraging to keep your goals top of mind?
Back at the ranch, life is good. I’m taking lots of walk breaks and listening to lots of music. I’m giving Korean Pop a try. I don’t like most of it, but there’s some good stuff out there. I like a few songs by 2PM. 10 out of 10 is at the top of the list. Check it out on Spotify. The chorus kicks in around the minute mark. It’s a body mover!
I wish there was a magic button to tidy my playlists! I have such a varied list of liked songs, it takes forever to organize them. Big problem, right?!
Intermittent fasting is going well. I’m having two meals most days. Today, I was hungry early, so I had yogurt and berries. When I was on a walk, I noticed a pesky headache, which is really unusual. I realized awhile ago that this is a new PMS symptom for me. Who needs a calendar when your body rings the bell?!
