Stuck In Many Ways

Saturday, May 08, 2021

Not much has been happening weight-wise since January. Up and down between 213 to 211 since then. I've was making it a point to exercise a little in March/April and that got me to 211.5, but that has gone by the wayside ever since my mental issues cropped up mid April. Saw the doc yesterday and we agreed that I up the dose of one of my meds for awhile... a med that can cause massive hunger issues and very tired. I have power over my eating and movement, but the meds certainly make it difficult! The brain issues have also put a cramp in my exercising, though I have been getting quite a bit of movement thanks to work, so that's not as bad as it could be.

The joys of a differently-wired brain I guess.

Camping season is upon us! The weather is warm enough overnight to not have to worry about being chilled overnight. Now the heat? Yeah, that settled in quickly. It was 91F yesterday and no sign of letting up until next weekend. So I am heading to the mountains! I need a new camping spot since the one I was going to has too many people and partiers. I will have to go a bit further out to manage a place that has both A: trees, and B: not too many people. I also got a bigger tent (at a steep price) that is easier to get into/out of and to have more room. This way the dog can sleep with me and not have to be on top of me, like in my old tent. Granted, the new one takes about three times as long to set up, but that's worth it to not keep bruising my knees every time I enter the tent!

I went on a shopping trip on Amazon to get some hot-weather shirts that fit since all of mine are either too warm or too big (some of both too). I got four shirts and only one has to be returned--that might be a record! I hate shopping in person, so free returns are my friend. My bank account is unhappy, but less so than if I had walked into a physical store.

But now it is time to go drink another mug of tea to keep me from munching everything in sight!

@BARBARAJ73 he loves camping, so long as it involves his couch and shade. So many smells to sniff! We even go on hikes for even more sniffing action.
