Calling it good

Saturday, May 08, 2021

Here is the promised photo. There are 55 bags in this pile on the floor. It means I have given away 130. I hope it goes well tomorrow when they get picked up and delivered to the nursing home. It is a special week for Nurses everywhere but I made enough so that everyone that works there from the nurses to the housekeeping staff and the kitchen workers. They are all hero's.

Next will be 2 dozen for the cancer treatment center at the hospital but this time it will be for the patients.

It was a rather cloudy dreary day. But I even cooked some fresh carrots for dinner. Not what I was hungry for but what I should be eating. Right. I really couldn't figure out what I wanted.

thank fulls
1. finished this project
2. of course the sheet I put on the floor to take the photo now has a cat asleep on it.
3. so many ideas running thru my head...what's next

I'm not sure what tomorrow will look like. Haven't even tried to figure that out. Will just have to wait and see what happens.

That is impressive, and will certainly bring a LOT of smiles to the folks at the nursing home! It's easy for people to forget that it takes EVERYONE to provide for the needs at a nursing home, from the nurses to the housekeepers to the cooks to the bookkeepers. Just knowing that someone out there recognized their contribution to keeping seniors healthy and safe will mean the world to them!

The picture of all those bags is beautiful. so many wonderful colors and patterns on those bags. Now that they will be picked up soon and the ladies can start getting them, what better timing than the week of Mother's Day. Awesome that you included the housekeeping and kitchen workers along with the nurse. Yes, they're all helping those patients in the nursing home.
It will also be a nice gift for the ladies at the hospital receiving Cancer treatments, bet they to will be pleased by your loving gesture for someone who can use a nice gift from someone they don't know. You are a wonderful women doing all the sewing you do for others also including the blankets for the new babies.
It was another hot day with plenty of blue sky and sunshine. We went to McAllen today, I looked at the car temp. while rolling down the street was 93 degrees at 1:30 this afternoon. We did stop at JoAnns, I bought three spools of thread, got three more for free. I also got some nice fancier buttons for the dresses I want to make for me. Some paints for ceramic and wood painting I want to get done. A bit of this and a bit of that, before you know spent over $40 bucks again.
I am wishing you a lovely Mothers Day Tomorrow.

That is a lot of bags for the nurses, housekeeping staff and kitchen staff at the nursing home. I am sure that they will be happy that someone thought of them and gave them something special. It will be fun to hear about what your next project is going to be and then to see the finished product.

The picture is a WOW picture. What a job you have done. They are just beautiful.
It was a dreary day here as well. Looked rainy but no rain or even a mist.
I am sure you will come up with more wonderful ideas with your work in fabrics.
    Have a lovely Mother's Day!
