having a peaceful morning

Monday, May 17, 2021

good morning - DH is busy taking down the pool we had up for the grandkids. He is emptying by buckets. He says if he just drains it too fast it will flood our yard and our neighbors. I left him doing it while I finish my coffee. It has been raining so that the minor league game that DH was supposed to go to with SIL was canceled. I did not get my day to myself yesterday. Dh came home and put on his Twins. They lost again. DH is not a happy camper. He is now hoping they cancel our tickets so we do not see a slaughter from the Yankees in June. Oh well, I do not get so emotional if the team loses. I never understand with their big salaries they can not perform better. emoticon This weekend is supposed to be a BBQ for my son's family. We never know how that will go or if they will even come. My son and his wife are not very mature. It stresses both myself and DH to work with people who should be more stable at their age. We do it so we can see our granddaughter who needs our emotional support. emoticon We are supposed to babysit my GD on Thursday so my son can get his second shot. We just play everything one day at a time with them. DH is going to send a text today and see how it stands with them. We never know. Have a good day!!! emoticon

Yes, we have to play things a day @ a time when planning anything w/DS . . . and works better that way.

Oh well, as for getting emotional re: sports, nope, that's not my thing, either, but sure is my DH's as well.

    HUGS to you.
