I went to the Dr. yesterday and got my cholesterol checked. It has been a concern of mine for a while. It runs in my family so I know that I need to keep an eye on it. I got my numbers checked and all was good but for the good cholesterol it is a little low. I was jumping for joy at work after that call from them. I am happy that I have a beginning number so I can follow up in the future and keep an eye on it.

Making small changes help so much. I don't know what my beginning numbers where when I started to lose weight but I am suer after loosing a lot of weight like I had they had to be worse. My cholesterol number is 153. Now I can aim lower. I would recommend to everyone to get it checked and see where you are now and where you will be in the future. That way you can keep an eye on it.

Hi Christina, 153 is a very good number. I had minor surgery last Friday for an umbilical hernia and they had to do some bloodwork prior to surgery so I asked my doctor if he could check my cholesterol while they were doing bloodwork. I also thought that it would be good to get a measurement of where it's at, just like you. It was 210 on September 12th and I shudder to think what it must have been back in January before I lost this 58 pounds. I'm going to try and really watch it and see if I can bring it down by diet changes. Thought this comparison might help you feel even better and more proud of your number as well you should be. Take care of your self, when do you think you'll check it again? Six months?
