People questioning my eating habits already!

Friday, November 02, 2007

I've been poorly the last couple of days and took some days off work. However, I went back in today but felt poorly again (!) so asked to go home.

I saw my co worker as I was leaving and he asked what was up. I told him I felt sick. He then said, 'It's not because the way you're eating is it? Are you eating enough?'

This really frustrated me. I assured him I had a very healthy appetite and was eating fine but it has made me think how people will respond when I lose more weight.

Why do people assume if you are trying to lose weight you have an eating disorder? I can understand the natural concern - it's in the media so much how girls my age are struggling with food...but I love food WAY to much to have a issue with it!

The thing is...how can you make people believe you are fine when they might be thinking you're a fool and have a problem?
