The 10K Diaries

So as part of my new year's resolution I'm going to run a 10K marathon in april.

So far things are going well. I didn't even think I could run 5k when I started. Turns out all that elliptical / cycling work over the summer paid off because I ran 5k on my second try (first try was 4.85K).

I'm pretty proud of myself. Two weeks in I'm even starting to enjoy it! I can run about 3 miles in 35 minutes (I take 5 at the end to cool down).

Today I've started to incorporate hills. Low grade ones to not shock myself too much so we'll see how I feel tomorrow.

I have to say that this is just one of many things that i never thought i could do until i try. i guess i really don't ive myself enough credit.
