Week 3 - Day 1

I ran / jogged for 40 mintues today for a total of 3.73mi or 6K on the nose. It felt pretty hard but I want to do it again. Instead of walking when I felt a strain in my leg muscles I just took the pace down a bit. I'm trying to push myself a bit farther each run without overdoing it because I don't want to get injured. Right now I'm shooting for length of time instead of distance. let's hope it works.

On friday I was TOTALLY exhausted but I dragged my sleep deprived ass to the gym in the evening anyways. I managed to job for about 6 minutes uphill on my way back. IT WAS FUN running outside for a change. I'm looking forward to doing more trail type runs.

It was really difficult getting out of bed this morning but I've decided to take down my workout time a bit and just make it more concentrated. I'm shooting for an hour instead of an hour and a half. I think i need a bit more down time and sleep!
