Hope you two are doing well and continuing on with your positive attitudes and healthier living. I firmly believe that exercise is vital to us living with COPD, Pulmonary Rehab was a big boost in helping me form an exercise program.
Life is all about choices. Let's start today in making better choices and live our lives to the best of our ability.

Hi John, I blew out all the candles at last lung drs visit about 6 months ago ....... we were all shocked - I work at staying healthy - although weight is a problem.. I am guessing due to hasimoto disease .. and pre-diabetes they say - diabetes is diabetes .. well there is a page full .... make sure they check you for acid reflux - as that is one that episodes were the same symptoms as copd-did not know I had it as I don't have acid-
so hang in there .. it is not a death sentence - I had quit smoking when I was finally admitted into the hospital not breathing - halloween, 7pm, 2003 .......... early 50s also
I do the "walk away the pounds " videos - as I have a lot of health issues I try to keep under control and those I can do as I feel - slow ones , middles and faster ones that do not take a lot of room to do .. so many videos use the similar moves but take up more room - so I just stick with these- on youtube I do pick up any I see at the goodwill & sales ..
I walk the beach when down there - not as much as I want .. and walk our marina park 1 or 2 mile - would like to strength train at the gym - but no extra funds for that - one day , I do use hand weights

My name is John/aka Frustratedat224, good day. I can remember when I was first told that I had C.O.P.D. I truly felt this was a death sentence; at the time I believe I was only in my early 50's, I felt I had so much of my life to live and now I have little time left. Now I know this not to be true, C.O.P.D. is a medical condition that can be controlled through medication from your doctor. I have since been in a couple of C.O.P.D. medical trials trying new treatments to help all people better live with C.O.P.D. At this time there is no cure for C.O.P.D., but there are new treatments in early experimental stages that a break through is only a matter of time. I'm learning to live with my condition, even though it can be difficult at times. Guess what----"God Is Good!!!!"--- and He will get me through any issues that life may throw at me. With the lemons that life will throw my way----I collect those lemons and I make one awesome lemonade [a diet lemonade now, it's still awesome]. emoticon Today I want to bring us HOPE, yes we have C.O.P.D., WHY???, because of choices that we have made in our past. It's not God's fault or anyone else's, but our decisions. We made the mistakes now it is time for us to make that lemonade I have talked about. Let's all learn together how to live with C.O.P.D. My grandma always said, "What you can't cure, one must endure." How true, with our Higher Power all things are possible, plus the help from the members of this group we can all endure together.
A question that I do have for our members is, do any of us have an exercise plan that they would like to share with us. My first week with SP, I fail a little short of my goal, I want to loose at least 2 lbs. a week. Any input would be nice..
So let's all work together and make some of the most awesome lemonade together!!! emoticon Frustratedat224
