Hello ANNEMARGAR- or may I call you Anne?
emoticon I have not been following the Eat to Live but I do belong to the SP team here and have decided to do the 6 weeks again BUT with a bit more protein so not the vegan version of it. It won't be much but that is ok for now because my main concern is to get about 20 pounds off and yes I agree that ST is important to weight loss but my main focus is to get rid of the body fat and then build the lean muscle. I mean Tom says the lean muscle is important and he is right. There are vegan body builders too and I am going to go check out how they do it.Lets keep the spark going!!! emoticon

Thank you for getting started Emily! You blog gave me the kick-in-the-butt that I needed to get focused. I posted my first blog and plan to post something everyday to keep me focused. I think your profile page says that you are following the Eat to Live plan - mostly veggie. Are you about to get 30% of your calories in as protein or do you not track at that level? I am curious as I would like to eat less meat, but I still want to keep my protein level around 30%.

Chereokee_Rose -- this has been a crazy winter. Sorry to hear that you have been dealing with so many health issues. Take one step at a time to keep you on the healthy path. Spring will be here soon :)

I've already burnt out on challenges this winter. I am being positive though, and will look forward to the spring and summer ahead. I've had more health problems this winter than I have had all together for years...flu, eye problems, depression/anxiety flaring, and now a cold with ear pain. This is not going to stop me. If I pick myself up and get back on track, all of this will get better. So, that said, yeah... a kick in the butt is what I need. I will make this thread one that I come back to when I log in every day.

Hang in there... we all can do this. Message me if you would like a personal kick in the butt...lol.

Hello! I am here - I too need a "Kick in the Butt Buddy". I know what I need to do - I provide advice to other people - I just need to get on my own success train! I have been focusing on getting more sleep - which I am doing well. Finally joined my new gym which I love. Stopped drinkning alcohol which I thought would help me reach my goal. I am 44 y.o. I am close to my goal weight - though it keeps going up instead of down. So, I want to lose 8 lbs and 4% body fat. I would like to do this by June! I need to create a daily meal plan that will work for me and that I will stick to!!

I want - er WILL lose 40 pounds by mid August of 2014
I want to take everything i have learned in Tom's books and put it into action-
I work out at home. I eat plant based but have meat- meaning most of my diet is plant based-
I have 4 kids-2 ages 22,21,17 and 16 and did homeschool most for most and some for some of that time and did homebirth and yet do not consider myself a cruncy granola type... I am 52- 53 in May. I am more of a realist than a spiritual person. I am not into angels but do love random irony. We are looking for a house. I am organizing and decluttering so I can buy a house and finally be a grown up in one- in other words I wan tthe house to reflect my tastes not just random garbage picks emoticon
I have also let my dreams of being an illustrator- a paid one that would work on books- childrens/young adults or film concepts or even just getting my food pics published.
I will most likely blog about this but explain the part about burn the fat a bit more-
I need some one who is also interested in NO EXCUSES!!!!!!
