I'm Karen. I've used SparkPeople for years. I reached my goal weight of 125 back in 2010 using mostly SP and running. But I moved to a hilly area and stopped running. Since we moved in 2010 I've gained 15 pounds! Ugh! I really really want to get back to 125. Getting to 130 by my nieces's April wedding would be a bonus.

I am married with 4 kids. Dh is extremely supportive. He is very active and very healthy-eating conscious. I'm hoping to make 2013 the year that I get back to 125!

Hello! I'm hoping this will make me more accountable for logging in and tracking my food, and exercise. I did lose 52 pounds last year following Dr. Jonny Bowden's "unleash your thin" healthy life style plan, but managed to gain back 8 pounds in just a week during the holidays. My exercise routine also took a backseat to a cold all week. So I went from weighing 145 in the beginning of December to 153 as my January 1st starting weight. This is my year! 2013 I get off the lose, gain, never maintain cycle! My ultimate goal is to maintain this healthy life style and exercise on a daily basis, and the last 30 pounds will take care of themselves.

Good morning everyone, my name is Sharon and I live in Arkansas with my husband and 12 year old son. I finally conceived my husband to join Sparkpeople. I have been a member since 2010 and I love it. The doctors have told him to try and lose weight before going through with the weight loss surgery. I have been a downward spiral since the first of December. I have gained 31 pounds since that time also. My mom past away on December 5 and have been stress eating because of it and depression. I am hoping that spark coach will help me get back on track with my weight loss journey.

Good morning...my name is Nancy and I live in East Texas. I joined the group for support and motivation. For the last 6 years I have been traveling for a living and gained over 50#! Restaurant eating all the time bites bad! I am now working from home and am trying to get back into a healthly lifestyle. Plus my husband has to have a low sodium diet and trying to learn to cook like that is a challenge in itself. I have a treadmill and am hoping to use it every day. We shall see, won't we!?

Happy New Year everyone! I'm Lindy and I've been lurking around the SparkPeople web site for a couple of months - reading articles, trying recipes, etc., however didn't do anything to improve my habits. I am Netty, and I have used Spark People in the past and found success.

So... I am back at in 2013. I signed up for 1 year of Spark Coach.

My Spark-Goal - Lifelong Healthy Eating. Find Peace with Food. No more binge eating.

Most difficult time of day - Sadly right when I come home from work when it seems like it should be the happiest time of day. The EATING begins and usually doesn't stop until bed time.

Hello! I'm Katy. I'm 36 and a single mom to two teen boys, 13 and 15. I'm in the Air Force and we're currently stationed overseas.

My goals are:

Get an Excellent on my fitness test. This means losing about 25-30 lbs; Reducing run time; Increasing my pushups and situps.

I also want more energy so I can be more active. We love the outdoors but it seems lately I'm forsaking it for being a couch potato.

I look forward to sparking with all of you!

Hey my name is Donna. I'm back. I used to love this site. I got sick and stopped using it. Well Im still sick but I need to get back on track. My health is declining and I need some help. Tomorrow starts a new year and a new me. I was diagnosed with emphysema a while ago. I also have lupus. These two diseases make me sooooo tired I cant take it anymore. I gained so much weight from inactivity (medication doesnt help either). I cannot live like this anymore.

Hi I'm Lori and new to spark people, I actually joined a year ago and never used this. Wow what was I missing. This site seems to have everything. I'm embarking on a personal journey to lose weight, get healthy and run a 5k this year. I had lost 30 pounds in 2009 and ran my first 5k but I regained what I had lost along with some self esteem and self confidence. I am committing to making small changes to reach my goal. Hi, my name is Carol. I am 35, Mother of 2 girls ages 8 & 5 .I work 2 jobs, take care of my family, go to the gym 5 days a week, and Commando Krav Maga 2-3 days a week. I also do online classes for work as well, so I keep a very busy, and full schedule running kids to Tae Kwon Do 5 days a week, and so on.

I've been on Spark for a very long time,Lost 40 pounds, with the help of spark, my bodybugg and Commando Krav Maga and my instructor.Recently, (October), joined the gym with my DH, so he would have someone there to keep him going.I realized I liked it a lot myself.I am doing the Fit Challenge at my Gym Jan. till the end of Apr. Thought I would give Sparkcoach a whirl for extra motivation and accountabitlity.

Hello, everyone, I have been a member for some time now, and when I first joined Spark, I lost quite a lot of weight. But then I hit a plateau and slowly almost all of the lost pounds crept back. Now is a good moment to change this.
My main problem is motivation. But, I'll get there, one step at a time... emoticon

Hi everyone, I've been a member of Spark for awhile and I come and go. Basically I chose to ignore the fact that each year I gained a few pounds. Now Im physically uncomfortable, about to turn 55 and feel like 70. My health is good in general but I do have a lot of digestion problems. Too much sugar, sweets and cola. My comfort food. I knew it was time to do something a bit more serious when I had difficulty breathing after the Christmas meal. I want my energy back and my body back! Hi all! My name is Audrey. I'm 28 and mother of a 2 year old little girl. She keeps me on my toes! I'm also happily married for 5 years! We were high school sweethearts! I have about 60 more pounds to lose to be ::PERFECT:: I'll settle for 50 pounds lighter and a BMI that's ::NORMAL:: I'm a leader of the 20 somethings with 50-99 pounds to lose team. I'm not as active as I should be but I'm trying. I'm also struggling with healthy eating since moving in with my grandfather. It makes things difficult to not be able to dictate what foods are and aren't in the house. And his refrigerator in this house is smaller than ours was in our old house, which means when I had our 26 cu ft JAMMED with healthy foods, he has his 22cu ft JAMMED with junk. Not easy to alter the eating habits of someone who's 90. Making it my New Year's Resolution AGAIN to eat healthier and be more active. Hopefully I can work things out!

Hello.
I have been on spark people for a long time, but less consistently then I'd like. I've recently gained 12 pounds while I feel as though I have been working out and eating healthy (but perhaps too much). At the same time, I may be stress eating since there is far more intense stress in my family and work life than ever before. No matter what is causing it, I feel as though my 56 year old metabolism has fallen off its own cliff and I am determined to turn it around in 2013. I want to play with my grandchildren, hike and bike with my husband, and keep up with my very busy life. Hopefully with this team, I can balance it all a bit better I am looking forward to getting to know the people that post here and journey on toward our goals!

Starting up with Spark AGAIN for this new 2013 year. I have been on and off again and lost close to 50 pounds. Sad to say gained much back this year after needing three surgeries and getting plopped into medical menopause 0_0. Yeah I can use that as an excuse but sonce I gained 15 pounds since March (a month after surgery) I am choosing to stop that nonsense now and get with the program. I know what i NEED to do...i just need to do it.
Love this new coaching option. i am a bells and whistles person...so if I can have pretty dangly things to distract me from eating so be it :0)!

I'm Nina. I've been on Spark for about 2 years. I am the leader of a couple of teams and very involved in spark overall, but I just can't get rid of the weight. I've been at the same place for the last year. I think I am very good at excuses. I'm really good about exercise, but I eat out way too often and don't make the best choices. I'm really working at cutting back the amount we eat out. I decided having a program to check into each day and help me focus on my goals would keep me more accountable. I need to lost 45 lbs. It is tough! But, I will do it!
